Syllabus
Short description: We will
study the properties of schemes.
Audience: Although this is part II of a lecture series, it
is no problem to join in at the start of the semester.
In the previous semester, we
studied varieties, and schemes are a generalization of these spaces.
We will start with a short review,
but the theory of schemes will be
built from the ground up, so that stricly speaking no knowledge of
varieties is necessary.
It is of course useful.
