Walking directions from the Union Club Hotel

Walk West past the Stewart center and across the memorial mall. The mathematics building is located off of Oval Dr.

Directions from the Hilton Garden Inn

Walk West along W State street, then turn right onto Oval Dr. The mathematics building is just off of Oval Dr., in-between Oval and University Street.

Alternatively, you can catch the Wabash trolley at the Wabash landing stop near the Wendy's. Take the trolley for about a minute and get off at the Purdue Memorial Union stop. The trolley drivers are always very friendly, and they will let you know which stop is the memorial union if you ask. The trolley is free.

Directions to Lafayette

Purdue University is located in West Lafayette, Indiana. West Lafayette is 120 miles Southeast of Chicago, Illinois and 60 miles Northwest of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Shuttle from Indianapolis International Airport

There are several shuttle services that run between West Lafayette and the Indiana International Airport. Each service runs year round, and picks up about every two hours between 5am to 9pm. The trip takes about 90 minutes, and round trip tickets cost about $50. Purchasing tickets in advance online is recommended.

Shuttle from Chicago O'Hare International Airport

Express Air Coach runs a shuttle service between West Lafayette and O'Hare International Airport. The service runs year round, and picks up about every four hours between 9am and 9pm. Round trip tickets cost $140.

Shuttle from Chicago Midway International Airport

There are only independent and local transportation services operate out of Midway airport. However, it is possible to take the Omega shuttle from Midway to O'Hare and then use the Express Air Coach. The Omega shuttle costs $45.

Driving

Alternatively, you can rent a car at any of these three airports and drive to Purdue. This trip takes about 2 hours (from the Chicago area) or 1 hour (from Indianapolis) depending on traffic. Directions are as follows.
From the Chicago Area
Take I-65 south to Exit #178, St. Rd. 43. Follow 43 to West Lafayette (7 miles) to light at intersection of 43 and St. Rd. 26/State Street. Turn right on 26/State Street to second light/Grant Street. Turn right on Grant St. one-half block. The garage is on the right. Parking garage fees are as follows: 1st 30 minutes - $1.00, 2nd 30 minutes - $2.00, thereafter $1.00 an hour. Maximum of $10.00 a day.
From the Indianapolis Area
Take I-65 north to Exit #172, St. Rd. 26/State Street. Follow 26/State Street through Lafayette (watch for signs). Once you cross the Wabash River, you will be in West Lafayette. From the river, go to the fourth light/Grant Street. Turn right on Grant Street one-half block. The garage is on the right. Parking garage fees are as follows: 1st 30 minutes - $1.00, 2nd 30 minutes - $2.00, thereafter $1.00 an hour. Maximum of $10.00 a day.
