Homework assignments, supplementary problems:

Homeworks will be assigned on every Friday and will be due on Thursday (recitation).  All hwks will be turned
in on Thursday. Late homeworks will not be accepted. The assignment mostly
goes with the assignment sheet but there might be few changes which will be
announced in class if there is any. The two homeworks with the lowest score
will be dropped . You are encouraged to visit the instructor if you have any
questions about homeworks.

 Selected problems will be graded.

HWK ASSIGNMENTS:




  Quizzes :

There will be 10-15 min. quizzes given in each Recitation. The lowest two
quiz scores will be dropped at the end of the semester.


  Exams :


There will be two midterm exams during the semester and a final exam

at the end of the semester. The midterm will be given in the class. Absolutely no make-up exams will be given without prior
permission of the instructor. Validity of excuses is determined by the instructor.
If an emergency happened on an exam day, a notice within 24 hours is required
in order to make up the exam which is missed. No calculators are allowed in
midterms and final exams.The exams and quizzes may include partial credit problems
and multiple choice problems.  Calculators, books and notes (unless specified otherwise) are not allowed during the  quizzes and exams.

Grading Policy:

The course grade will be based on the following:
Two midterm exams: 2 times 100= 200 pts
Final exam: 200 pts                                                                                                    
Homework and quizzes: 200 pts
Total 600 pts



Make-up for quizzes or exams will only be granted to students who have convincing excuses and have informed the instructor in advance.
