Congratulations Students!

The accomplishments of two actuarial students were recognized by the professional actuarial community this past summer. The Society of Actuaries awarded a John Culver Wooddy Scholarship to Aaron Lambright in recognition of his academic and leadership accomplishments. Gabriel Carrillo received an Actuarial Scholarship for Minority Students from the Society of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial Society.

Sonia Hristovitch and Loredana Lanzani have been awarded Keedy Fellowships for 1996. Former math professor Mike Keedy established a fund in the early 1980's to provide awards on a yearly basis to students who show special promise in Mathematics and Education. Awards are to be used for scholarly activities such as thesis writing, data collection, data analysis, and attending conferences.
