News Flash

Jeff Beckley, our "Actuary in Residence," has been elected to a 3 year term on the Board of Governors of the Society of Actuaries. The Society of Actuaries plays a crucial role in determining the future course of the profession and the Board is the main governance body within the society. This is quite an honor. Congratulations Jeff!

We are also delighted to announce his promotion to the position of Co-Director of the Actuarial Science Program and his move to full time. For the first time in the history of the program, it will be co-lead by a fulltime FSA. This will also allow us to expand and deepen our actuarial offerings.

Purdue Actuarial Science Program Outstanding Alumni

The Actuarial Science Outstanding Alumni Awards were established in 2007 by the Actuarial Science Program to recognize the recipient's contributions and leadership within their professions.

This award was established in 1990 by the College of Science to recognize outstanding achievement by graduates of the College of Science in professional and related fields of endeavor . The Purdue Actuarial Science Program is an interdisciplinary program offered jointly by the Department of Mathematics and Department of Statistics. The program offers a major in Actuarial Science that prepares students for an actuarial career as well as providing background for exams set by the Society of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial Society.
