Mathematics Selective Courses

Any three courses from among the following (but no more than two from each group):

  • Analysis: MA 42500 Fall only, MA 42800 Spring only, MA 44000 Fall only (which can be taken in addition to MA 34100), MA 44200 Spring only [pre-requisite MA 44000]
  • Algebra: MA 42100 Fall only even years, MA 45400
  • Differential Equations: MA 52300, MA 54300
  • Discrete Mathematics, Foundations: MA 37500, 38500 Spring only, CS 38100, CS 48300
  • Geometry: MA 57100
  • Computer Science: CS 24000, CS 25100
  • Numerical Analysis: CS 31400, CS 51400, CS 51500, CS 52000
  • Statistics, Probability: MA 41600/STAT 41600 (STAT 51600), STAT 41700 (STAT 51700), MA 49000/STAT 49000 with the title Elem Stochastic Processes, STAT 51900, MA 51900

Not all courses offered every semester or year (offering semester may or may not be noted above and is subject to change). Other choices may be approved. Undergraduate students need approval to take any 50000+ level mathematics courses.  See your advisor.
