"Mathematical Modeling and Analysis of Materials"

The fall 2006 Society for Natural Philosophy Meeting (Conference) will be hosted by the Mathematics Department of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, during the weekend of November 11-12. The meeting will feature the second Clifford Ambrose Truesdell III Lecture delivered by James Serrin.

Financial Support.

The conference is funded by the SNP and the committee has applied for additional support from the NSF. Partial support for young researchers' travel and lodging expences is available. Recent Ph.D.'s and advanced graduate students who plan on attending the conference are strongly encouraged to apply for support by completing the financial application and returning it to Patricia Bauman.

Travel.

You can get to Purdue by flying into the Indianapolis Airport. Lafayette Limo offers service between the airport and the Union Club Hotel. You should check their schedule before reserving your flights. If the limo is impractical you can rent a car at the airport and drive to West Lafayette (65 miles).
