AWM Student Chapter

05-15-2012

Purdue mathematics professor Donatella Danielli and a group of women in the Math Graduate Program recently started a Purdue student chapter of the Association for Women in Mathematics. The group got off to a fantastic start and during the past year hosted several activities supportive of women in math and science.

The purpose of the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) is to encourage women and girls to study and to have active careers in the mathematical sciences, and to promote equal opportunity and the equal treatment of women and girls in the mathematical sciences.
