Professor Ralph Kaufmann organizes a Program on Higher Structures in Geometry and Physics at the Max Planck Institute.

01-27-2016

Professor Ralph Kaufmann is one of the main organizers for a 3-month Program on Higher Structures in Geometry and Physics.  The goal of this program is to find unifying themes underlying various structures used in disparate fields such as algebra, geometry, and various branches of physics.

The program began with an opening conference in January, continues with a variety of activities in the coming months, and will end with a closing conference in March.

For more information, please see the Program on Higher Structures in Geometry and Physics webpage; Opening Conference webage; Workshop with Lectures by Voevodsky webpage; and the Closing Conference webpage.

This program will also lead to the founding of a new journal on this topic, Higher Structures.
