Useful Software

SSH Clients

• To connect to the Math servers, secure connections must be used.
  
• Purdue's Engineering Computer Network has SSH clients available for Purdue faculty, staff, and students. Below is a link to the ECN software download page: https://engineering.purdue.edu/PULS/pc_software/ssh_clients
• We recommend SSH Client 3.x (SSHWinClient). Once the SSH client is installed, create a connection to any of the math servers.

FTP Clients

• To connect to the Math servers, secure FTP connections must be used.
• Purdue's Engineering Computer Network has SFTP clients available for Purdue faculty, staff, and students. Below is a link to the ECN software download page: https://engineering.purdue.edu/PULS/

• Refer to the Systems List for a list of common servers to log into.

Virus Protection and Security

• Purdue's ITaP has virus protection software and various security-related software packages available for download for Purdue faculty, staff, and students. A career account login and password are required.

Equation Editing and Cross Platform Access

• The College of Engineering has a download site for Purdue University Site Licensed Software (PULS), including Cross Platform Access, Equation Editing software and Hummingbird Exceed. A career account login and password are required.
