Recitation

There is a recitation class each Wednesday, see your schedule. For questions regarding recitation classes contact your recitation class instructor.

Homeworks:

Homeworks will be collected every Monday in class and every Wednesday in recitation class. Some of the homeworks will be graded. Late homeworks will not be accepted. Attendance and doing homework assignments are very important for your success in this class.

Tests:

Quizzes are held in recitation classes. There are two in class midterm exams and a comprehensive final exam. Calculators, books and notes are not allowed during the quizzes and exams.

Important Dates Test 1 Sep. 25
Test 2 Oct. 30
Final Exam To be announced

Grading Policy:

Your course grade will be determined as follows: 10% from homeworks, 15% from quizzes, 20% from each mid-term exam and 35% from the final exam.

Make-up Policy:

There will be no make-up exams except in extreme circumstances (such as: death in immediate family, military obligation, etc.) at the discretion of the instructor. The instructor has to be informed IN ADVANCE by e-mail. You will be asked to provide proper documentation. The lowest quizzes score will be dropped in the final calculation of your grade. Because we drop the lowest quiz score, there is no make-up quizzes.

Attendance:

Class attendance is expected and we will "spot check" attendance throughout the semester. I may deduct up to 3% of your grade if you miss more than three of those random checks.

If you have questions, please contact Min Chen.
