The first mid-term exam will cover Chapter 5, Sections 5.1 to 5.4, and Chapter 7, Sections 7.3 and 7.5 to 7.8 (not 7.9).

The second mid-term exam will cover Chapter 7, Section 7.9, and Chapter 10, Sections 10.1 to 10.6 (not 10.7 or 10.8).

The final exam will be comprehensive, but with an emphasis on material not covered on the first two tests (Sections 10.7 and 10.8, Chapters 9 and 8).

Textbook

Elementary Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems, by Boyce and DiPrima, 9th Edition, John Wiley and Sons.
