Textbook: Vector Calculus, by Marsden & Tromba, 5th Edition, Freeman.

Grading policy:
There will be two midterm exams and one final. Each midterm will be worth 100 points, the final will be 200 points, and the homework grade will be scaled to 100 points, making a total of 500 points for the whole course.

Homeworks:
Homework will be due on Thursday before class. The assignment is weekly. Only some problems will be graded, however you should write the solution for each one of them.

Homework 1 (due Thursday Sept. 2):
2.1 Problems 1, 2b, 2c, 5, 11, 2.2 Problems 5c, 8, 9, 12, 19 (only first part) and 2.3 Problems 1c, 1d, 3, 5, 8 and 11.

Homework 2 (new due date: Tuesday Sept. 14):
2.4 Problems 9, 11, 15, 18, 20; 2.5 Problems 2f, 3bc, 5bc, 10, 12, 17b and 2.6 Problems 2cd, 12, 13c, 16 and 20.

Homework 3 (due date: Thursday Sept. 23):

The second midterm will be on Thursday Nov. 11th. Location and time: 8:00pm - 9:30pm at BRNG 2280. It will cover sections 4.4, 5.1-5.5, 6.1-6.3, 7.1-7.3.




The first midterm was on Monday Oct. 4th. Location and time: 8:00-9:30pm at MATH 175. It covered 2.1-2.6, 3.1-3.4 and 4.1-4.3.
