Office Hours: Tuesday 2:00-4:00pm.
Textbook: Vector Calculus, by Marsden & Tromba, 6th Edition, Freeman.

Grading policy:
There will be two midterm exams and one final. Each midterm will be worth 100 points, the final will be 200 points, and the homework grade will be scaled to 100 points, making a total of 500 points for the whole course.

Homeworks:
Homework will be due on Thursday before class. The assignment is weekly. Only some problems will be graded, however you should write the solution for each one of them.

Homework 1 (due January 19th):
Chapter 1 (p. 70): 7(c ),8(c ); Section 2.1 (p.86): 6, 10(a), 20 and 2.3 (p. 115): 8, 10(a,c), 12(a,b), 18 and 24.

Homework 2 (due January 26th):
Section 2.4: 18.23, Section 2.5: 8,13,32,33 and Section 2.6: 6,18(a),21,31.

Homework 3 (due February 2nd):
Section 3.1: 29,30; Section 3.2: 7,9,10 and Section 3.3: 12,15,34,37,46.

Homework 4 (due February 9th):
Section 3.4: 4, 12, 20, 26, 28 and Section 3.5: 2, 4, 6 and Review exercises for Chapter 3: 6, 30.



The first midterm exam is on Wednesday 22nd from 6:30 to 7:30pm at WTHR 104. It will cover all of chapters 1, 2, 3 and 4.1+4.2.

Homework 5 (due March 1st):
Section 4.1: 14; Section 4.2: 8, 12; Section 4.3: 4, 12,16, 20, 24 and Section 4.4: 2, 6, 8,10,14,24,26,40.

Homework 6 (due March 8th):
Section 5.1: 8, 10; Section 5.2: 6, 8, 17; Section 5.3: 10, 14 and Section 5.4: 4b, 14, 16, 18.

Homework 7 (due March 22nd):
Section 5.5: 6, 8, 14, 22, 28; Section 6.1: 4, 8 and Section 6.2: 2, 4, 6.

The second midterm exam will be an evening exam. It will be on Wednesday March 28th from 8:00pm to 9:00pm at KRAN G016.



Homework 8 (due April 5th):
Section 6.2: 30, 36 (a,b); Section 6.3: 2, 14; Section 6.4: 4 and Section 7.1: 8, 12, 14, 22, 24.

Homework 9 (due April 12nd):
Section 7.2: 6, 10, 14; Section 7.3: 8, 14, 16, 23 and Section 7.4: 4, 6, 10.

Homework 10 (due April 19th):
Section 7.5: 4, 6, 16, 22; Section 7.6: 8, 10, 20, 22 and Section 7.7: 4, 6.

Homework 11 (due April 26th):
Section 8.1: 4, 10, 18; Section 8.2: 6, 10, 20; Section 8.3: 4(a,b), 18(a,b) and Section 8.4: 8, 10, 12, 14.

Final exam: Friday May 4th, 10:20am to 12:20pm at WTHR 320. The exam will be comprehensive.
