Chicago is a very beautiful city, with many great restaurants and other attractions. Among the many museums in the city, The Art
Institute of Chicago (admission $8.00) stands out as one of the finest in the world, with (arguably) the second best collection of impressionist paintings of any place. Unfortunately, it closes at 4:30 PM, so you will have to rush...
Located within easy walking distance of each other, also in the downtown
area and by the lake, are the Field Museum
of Natural History (admission $8.00) wichi closes at 5:00 PM, the
Shedd Aquarium (admission $13.00), which
closes at 6:00 PM, and the Adler
Planetarium (admission $5.00).
Within a few blocks of each other, you can find on the sidewalks a huge
mosaic mural by Marc Chagall, and sculptures by Miró and Picasso.
Some of the tallest buildings in the world are in Chicago, including the
Sears Tower (admission to the observation deck $9.50), open until 11:00 PM,
and the John Hancock Center, located on the Magnificent Mile (Michigan
Avenue), with a revolving restaurant on the 95th floor (named "The 95th"),
rated as one of the best in the city (albeit very expensive). The proximity
of the building to the lake and the city lights make for a spectacular view
both during the day and night.
EXCURSION TO INDIANAPOLIS

It has a pleasant center, which can be visited comfortably on foot, including
the huge mall named "Circle Center" and Monument Circle (where the Indianapolis
Symphony is located).
The Indianapolis Museum of Art
(admission free, suggested donation $5.00) closing at 5:00 PM, and the world renowned Indianapolis
Children's Museum are both rather far from downtown.
