I am a research assistant professor in mathematics; my interests lie in commutative algebra. I got my Ph. D. from Kansas, under the direction of Craig Huneke. In my dissertation, `Homological Invariants of Monomial and Binomial Ideals', I studied numerical invariants of free resolutions.
I have a B. Tech. in electronics and communication engineering from U. Calicut, Kerala, India, and an M. E. in telecommunication engineering from Indian Instt. of Science, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. I worked with Sasken Communication Technologies and Texas Instruments India, both in Bangalore.
Outside mathematics, I like to read, travel, and bike. I also dabble at photography.
Here is the story of my first trip through small towns of Kansas.
When moving to Purdue, I wandered along various rivers to get from Lawrence to Lafayette.
