Financial Aid to Graduate Students and Junior Scientists

Graduate Students and Junior Scientists from the US

The NSF grant OISE 0536892 will be used to pay for part of the expenses of a total of 14 graduate students and post-doctoral associates from the U.S. Those interested in applying for funding should send a .pdf file (please!) of their vita and a .pdf file (please!) of the description of their research to Antônio Sá Barreto . To be considered the candidate must be a graduate student or a junior scientist ( not more than five years since the Ph.D degree) affiliated with a U.S. institution. The deadline for applications is September 10, 2006. The selection will be made by the organizing committee and the names of those selected will be announced on September 15.

Graduate Students and Junior Scientists from Other Countries

At this moment we do not have any funds to support students and junior scientists from other countries. We encourage those interested in attending the conference, and perhaps in giving a short talk, to obtain funds from their other sources. We will be happy if we can be of any assistance.
