Hotel for Students

To make your hotel reservation you must be registered in the Symposium. Please register before proceeding Register now

There are a number of hotel rooms at the Debret Hotel in Cobacabana available for the students attending the symposium.

Rates: R$ 150,00 + 10% + 5%ISS (Standard room, SGL/DBL)
R$ 170,00 + 10% taxes + 5% ISS (Superior room, SGL/DBL)
Breakfast is included
The exchange rate is about 1 U.S dollar = 2.2 Brazilian Reais
Deadline for reservations: November 20, 2006
Reservations should be made directly with CMOEventos .
You can make your online reservation indicating dates of stay and number of rooms needed
The CMOEventos will reply by email (if online form was used) to confirm if the rooms are available. Then, a credit card is required to guarantee your reservation. This information can be provided by fax, or using the CMOEventos online secure form on CMOEventos.

Here are a few observations (new information)

1- The online reservations do not work if you are using a mac, at least with Safari (maybe a different browser, or sun machine will do. I have not tried that). It works well if you use a windows machine

2- The first page is in Portuguese. On the left column you need to click on CONGRESSOS EM ANDAMENTO. On the next page you get a list of the "ongoing conferences." The Calderón Symposium is the last one on the list. From that point on the instructions are in English.

3- If you call mention that you will be attending a conference at IMPA. Michele, or someone else, will help you with the reservations.
