Prerequisite:

CS314 or equivalent, and good knowledge of MATLAB (ability of writing simple programs in Fortran is preferred but not necessary).

Grading policy:

The grade will be based on homoworks and computer projects (50%) and two exams (one midterm and one final) (50%).

Class attendance is required. I'll "spot check" attendance throughout the semester. I may deduct up to 5% of your grade if you miss more than one of those random checks.

Cheating on an exam or homework results in a grade of zero for the exam or homework. Homework is to be done independently unless specific instructions are given for collaboration.
