Title: Smoluchowski-Navier-Stokes dynamics Abstract. The equilibrium statistical mechanics of particles suspended in fluids is described by the Onsager equation for the particle probability distribution. I will start with the Onsager equation, talk about some of its properties including phase transition, and show how it arises in the larger context of Smoluchowski-Navier-Stokes dynamics. I will then describe recent regularity results for the latter.
