Jan 17th. No homework first week.
Feb 29th. The Midterm Exam will be hold in class on March 6th. A two sides 3X5 card is allowed in the
exam. Calculator is allowed.
NO make up midterm exam is available. If you have some certified reasons that can not come to midterm, let me know as soon as
possible and your midterm will be the average score of your final exam and homework.
A practice exam has been posted below. A review session has been scheduled at 4N30 for March 5th, Wendesday, from 6 to 7pm.
April 30th. The review session has been scheduled at DRL 4C6 on Thursday May 1st, 1:303:00pm. We will discuss the practice final
exam.
The final exam will be hold on Wednesday May 7th, 12 2pm at DRL 4C2. The policy is the same as that of the midterm exam, that is, A two
sides 3X5 card is allowed and a calculator is allowed.
 Textbook:

Gilbert Strang:
An Introduction to Linear Algebra, WellesleyCambridge Press, 3rd edition.
 Homework will be mostly taken out of this book,
and it will serve as the main reference for the lectures.

 Homework:
 Homework is an extremely important part of this
course. Homework problems will be posted on
this page every Tuesday. They should be turned in in the Beginning of the class
on Tuesday of the following week. Extra credit problems will
be available sometimes. I will automatically drop your worst 2 homework scores

You may work together in small groups of your own choosing on these
problems, although each student's writeup should be his/her own. On
each assignment you hand in, write down the names of anyone you
collaborated with.
 Exams:
 There will be a midterm exam and a final exam, the latter will
