Course Description:

An introductory course in rigorous analysis, covering real numbers, sequences, series, continuous functions, differentiation, and Riemann integration.
This corresponds to Chapters 2-7 in the textbook.

Textbook: Introduction to Real Analysis (4th edition), by Robert G. Bartle

Homework:

Homeworks will be collected every Thursday at the beginning of class, starting at the second week. No late homework will be accepted (in principle).
The problem numbers will be posted on this course webpage at least one week priori to the due date.

Examinations: There will be two middle term exams (90 minutes evening exams) and one comprehensive final exams (covers all the materials).
The exact time and place will be specified at least two weeks in advance.

Midterm Exam I: Wed. 02/22, 2017, 6:30-7:30 pm, MATH 175: It covers Chapters 2.1-2.5; and Chapter 3.1-3.7.
Midterm Exam II Wed. 4/12, 2017, 6:30-7:30 pm, MATH 175
Final Exam: TBA

Grading Policy:

Homeworks (25%)
Midterm Exam I and II (20% for each)
Final Exam (35%)

Any form of cheating will automatically lead to an F grade, plus any other disciplinary action, deemed appropriate.
