Office Hours: (tentative) Tue.-Wed.-Th 2:30-3:20 AND by appointment
               (see me after class to make arrangements or for short
                questions). I also try to answer questions by e-mail,
                but turnaround time is sporadic).

Textbook: "Elementary Differential Equations and Boundary Value 
           Problems", Boyce and DiPrima, 8th edition, 
           Wiley Publishing.

Homework: Due Thursday of each week
          Problems will be posted on webpage.


Exams: two midterms + final exam. Dates will be announced.

Grading scheme:  100 points per midterm, 200 points for final, 100
                  points for homework,  = 500 total points.
                  semester grade assigned on basis of these 500 points.
                  No +/- grades assigned. 

Expected coverage: most of chapters 5,6,7,8, and 10
