Homework: Due Tuesday of each week Problems will be posted on webpage. Exams: two midterms + final exam. Dates will be announced. Grading scheme: 100 points per midterm, 150 points for final, 50 points for homework, = 400 points. Semester grade assigned on basis of these 400 points. No +/- grades. Expected grade distribution, based on past classes: 45% A, 45% B, 10% C or below. This is NOT fixed. Expected coverage: almost all of chapters 1,2,3,4,5,6, and selections from chapters 7 and 8.
