COURSE DESCRIPTION

Finite difference methods for time dependent problems:  accuracy and stability, wave equations, parabolic equations.

Solving linear systems: iterative methods, conjugate gradients and multigrid.

Prerequisites: MA 511 and MA 514 (or similar ones)
