Two teams from Purdue participated in the annual Indiana College Mathematics Contest on March 29, held at Butler University in connection with the spring Indiana MAA Section meeting. One team consisted of Dan Crosby, Lukito Muliadi, and Tze Chao Ng, all first-year students; Elad Harel, Brian Singer, and Bill Stier comprised the other team.
Both teams ably represented Purdue, and the team of Crosby, Muliadi, and Ng secured a tie for second place for Purdue, sharing the title with Indiana Univesity and Wabash College. Defending champion Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed first again this year.
