Nominate Your Best and Most Interesting Students

05-06-2021

Best or Most Interesting Students?

Refer the best and/or most interesting students to Purdue University’s National and International Scholarships Office (NISO)!!

Concentrated on first- and second-year undergraduates, but you are welcome to additionally name an outstanding third-year or other undergraduate as well as graduate student or recent alumni if you choose!  Send your student’s names to:  altstatt@purdue.edu.

We will only notify the student in the fall about your referral if our research shows s/he is eligible and possibly a strong candidate.

NISO coordinates 14 major scholarships and grants for Purdue.

You do not need to know their details, yet, we hope you speak to your students about the merits of pursuing prestigious scholarships and grants. They may end up applying for undergraduate awards such as Goldwater or Astronaut Scholarships in STEM research, pursue the Udall for careers committed to the environment, the Beinecke in the arts, humanities and social science, or prestigious international programs such as Rhodes, Marshall, or Gates Cambridge.

For the first time in Purdue’s history, we were named a Fulbright U.S. Student Program Top Producer for 2020-21. Top Producers are nationally recognized in the Chronicle of Higher Education.

Questions can be directed to Roseanne Altstatt, Associate Dean, National and International Scholarships Office, Honors College, Purdue University.  Email: altstatt@purdue.edu
