This meeting is organized jointly by the University of Illinois at Chicago and by Purdue University. It will take place at Purdue on December 2nd and 3rd. The talks will be on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, but participants are encouraged to stay longer on Sunday for informal discussions.

Note: The talks on Saturday will be in 277 Peirce Hall, just Northeast of the Mathematical Sciences Building, the Sunday talks will be in 175 Math. Sci., coffee and sweets will be served in the library lounge in the third floor of Math. Sci.

Participants are encouraged to make their own hotel reservations. Rooms are held in the Hilton Garden Inn in West Lafayette (765-743-2100); please make your reservation by 11/9 and mention the commutative algebra meeting in order to get the discounted rate. Directions:
The best way to travel to West Lafayette is by car or flying to Indianapolis. For driving directions see the maps of Lafayette and the Purdue Campus.

Lafayette's airport (Purdue University Airport) is no longer active. There is a shuttle bus from Indianapolis Airport to Purdue University. The bus leaves from the Ground Transportation Center outside the baggage claim area of Concorse A and stops at the Purdue Union Hotel. You may ask the driver to let you off at the Hilton Hotel. The shuttle leaves Indianapolis Airport every two hours from 6:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m., and arrives at Purdue about 90 minutes later. The return from Purdue is every two hours from 4:55 a.m. until 8:55 p.m. The bus company is called Lafayette Limo, tel. 765-497-3828, www.lafayettelimo.com.

If you have to fly into Chicago, there is a shuttle service between Chicago Ohare Airport and Purdue University Airport. The name of the company is Express Air Coach, tel. 765-743-3120, www.expressaircoach.com.
