Course Objectives

  • Identify and find equations for lines, planes, and quadratic surfaces in three-dimensions
  • Calculate velocity, acceleration, arclength, and curvature using vector functions
  • Calculate partial derivatives, gradients, and directional derivatives
  • Use multivariable chain rule and find extrema of multivariable functions
  • Compute double and triple integrals and interpret their geometrical meaning
  • Apply Green's theorem, Stokes' theorem, and Divergence theorem
