1-st Grade, Red School House on Atlantic Avenue, 1952-53 (now the District Office). This is one of 4 first grade classes in the Red School House. Paul DUDLEY says, "By the way, it was always only the four first grade classes that went to the little school on Atlantic Avenue. I guess they figured that first graders needed fewer services extras--like a gym, auditorium, etc. It was back to the main school for 2nd grade. I called my brother who was in the class of '68 last night to see if he had attended the little Atlantic Ave. school. As I thought, he didn't as he helped open Baird Road in 1st grade. So I guess it was just the classes of '64-'67 that went there for first grade."
