Elementary Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems, 10th edition, by Boyce-DiPrima, Wiley, (required).
There are two night midterm exams and a comprehensive final exam. Calculators, books and notes are not allowed during the exams.

Your course grade will be determined as follows: 15% from each mid-term exam, 30% from the final exam, 20% from online homework, 10% from the handgraded homeworks and 10% from quizs.

Regrades or late homework:
If you disagree with the grading on a homework, you must provide a written explanation, including your reasons for disagreeing, and resubmit the work for regrading within one week after the work is first returned to the class. If you have an approved late homework, you can submit the late homework with attached written explanation to TA.
Integrity: Academic integrity is expected of all students at all times in this course. You are free (even encouraged) to work with other students to solve the homework problems (talking about math may seem really geeky, but it can make learning the subject much easier and more fun). However, you are required to write up solutions to each assignment using your own words and explanations. Of course, you are required to do your own work on each exam (although you can prepare with others).
There will be no make-up exams except in extreme circumstances (such as: death in immediate family, military obligation, etc.) at the discretion of the instructor. The instructor has to be informed IN ADVANCE by e-mail. You will be asked to provide proper documentation.
Class attendance is expected and I'll "spot check" attendance throughout the semester. I may deduct up to 3% of your grade if you miss more than two of those random checks.
