Scientific Program


Various L-variational problems and the associated degenerate nonlinear
partial differential equations or Aronsson's equation have attracted great research interests.
This is partly because of their broad connections and potential applications to other fields
such as image recovery engineering, optimal control theory, weak KAM theory,
random differential equations, and even geometric group theory.
In the past fifteen years, we have witnessed many fundamentally important developments in this field.
The organizers strongly believe that it is a good time to hold this meeting in order to bring together
major contributors of the fields, including both nationally and internationally renowed experts,
very active junior researchers, recent Ph.D's and advanced graduate students to interact,
share novel new ideas, and possibly initiate new collaborations.
