Research

My research interests broadly can be classified as the following two categories:

  1. Scientific computing, numerical analysis, spectral methods, dynamical systems, computational fluid dynamics
  2. Parametrically forced flows: stratified, rotating, multiphase flows

More specifically, I develop high-order numerical spectral schemes to solve Navier-Stokes / Navier-Stokes Cahn-Hilliard systems under certain configurations. I then analyze the numerical solutions using the theory of rotating fluids, bifurcation theory, and inviscid flow theory and try to understand the physical mechanisms underlying the phenomena we observed from the numerical solutions.
