I am Matt Weaver, a seventh year Ph.D. student in the Mathematics Department at Purdue University. In addition to mathematics, I enjoy crossword puzzles, woodworking, and playing trumpet in the Purdue jazz band.
I am currently on the academic job market. My research interests are commutative algebra and its applications to algebraic geometry. In particular, I'm interested in the study of Rees algebras and their defining equations. If you'd like to learn more about my work, you can find information regarding my research interests in the "research" tab.
