Algebraic Geometry Reading Course

Spring 2020

Organizer: Kenji Matsuki

Classroom and Time: REC 117, Mondays at 10:30-12:30

Description: This semester we are interested in learning tools and techniques in algebraic geometry through various exercises in Robin Hartshorne's book Algebraic Geometry. As many have varying backgrounds in the subject, it is encouraged that students work together in small groups to solve selected problems.

Any mathematics graduate student with interest in the subject is invited and encouraged to attend.

Schedule: Below is the schedule of course meetings and problem presentations. If you are interested in presenting a problem, send an email to Matt Weaver ( weaver24@purdue.edu ) with the exercise(s) you would like to cover, the names of the members of your group, and the day you would like to present.

Multiple groups may present multiple problems on the same day! If somebody is already presenting on a certain day, you can still present problems that same day as well.
