Math students excel in multidisciplinary project
07-18-2014
Undergraduate mathematics students Jacob Varney and Brian Wenzel were members of Purdue teams that placed first (for the second year in a row) and second in student competitions at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Region III Student Conference in Cleveland on April 4-5, 2014.
The research papers presented by these students reflect work they have done with Purdue faculty on cutting-edge projects addressing grand challenges in aviation sustainability and accessibility supporting work in the AirTIES center and the PEGASAS center.
First place teams are invited to present their papers at the national AIAA conference in January 2015.
