Mussmann winner of 2015 G. A. Ross Award

The Department of Mathematics congratulates Steve Mussmann, winner of the 2015 G. A. Ross Award.

This award is given to one graduating male student (the Flora Roberts Award honors an outstanding senior woman) that possesses outstanding character and exemplifies a commitment to scholarship, leadership and service. Nominated by faculty and staff, awardees are selected by a committee of undergraduate peers. Along with having his name inscribed on the award marker located on the Purdue Mall, he will receive a bronze-plated medal, a certificate, and a check for $1000.

Mussmann has six official majors including Mathematics (Honors), Statistics (Honors), Applied Mathematics, Mathematics and Statistics, Mathematics with Computer Science, and Computer Science. He also has a Physics and Astronomy minor. At the same time, Mussmann has been active in community and campus philanthropy and campus organizations.

He plans to attend Stanford University as a Computer Science graduate student, after he completes his summer internship at Google.
