Call for Researchers Seeking Student Assistants

09-23-2020

Purdue researchers:

Restarting research operations this fall after shutting many projects down in the spring has been a process. The Purdue Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) invites all researchers seeking undergraduate researchers or mentees to participate in this semester’s virtual Research Roundtable on September 29 from 2pm to 6pm using Discord. This research job fair, co-hosted with the Purdue Society of Professional Engineers, has been successful in helping researchers locate proactive and reliable students for their projects.

During the event, you would host your own virtual booth where you could upload a video describing your research, include a link to your website, and answer questions using video and/or audio. Additionally, if you are unable to be present in the room the entire time, this can be included in the program and your booth can still be seen with your video/link or include others on the project to answer questions from student participants.

If you are interested in participating in this semester’s research job fair, please take a few moments to complete this Qualtrics form to indicate your interest and what positions you may be seeking by September 22. Research opportunities can be remote, in-person, or hybrid. The event will be promoted to the Purdue community prior to the event to reach interested undergraduates seeking research opportunities.

If you have any questions about this event or need to modify a booth registration, email the OUR at UGresearch@purdue.edu.
