New Interim Director of Actuarial Sciences

We are happy to announce that Samy Tindel, a professor of Mathematics at Purdue since 2015, has been appointed Interim Director of Actuarial Sciences. 

With longtime director Jeff Beckley retiring, Dr. Tindel will provide a continuty and consistency as we transition to search and select a new director. Dr. Samy Tindel's research area is Probability focusing on stochastic PDEs and stochastic analysis which closely aligns with the Acturial Sciences program. Serving on faculty search committees for the Acturial program and teaching a course required by all Acturaial students, Dr. Tindel is very familiar with the programs's faculty, students and curriculum.
