Best Professor/Instructor 2022: Kuan-Hua (Joe) Chen

Kuan-Hua (Joe) Chen has been awarded Best Professor/Instructor in The Exponents Readers’ Choice Awards 2022! Joe has been teaching here at Purdue for 12 years, ever since 2010. He has been an essential asset to the Purdue Mathematics Department, becoming Assistant Department Head. Aside from lecturing, Joe schedules classes, provides classroom and space support for our faculty members, reviews new course requests, and serves as a liaison between the Department and various other campus entities.   

Joe has been awarded the Ruth and Joel Spira Teaching award twice! He has also received the Advisor award and Distinguished Faculty for Research award! Joe is an exemplary member of the Department, and we are proud to congratulate him on the amazing achievement of Best Professor/Instructor in The Exponents Readers’ Choice Awards 2022!
