Purdue’s Actuarial Science Program stands at the forefront of actuarial education, blending rigorous academics with real-world relevance.

Purdue University’s Actuarial Science Program has earned the prestigious designation of Center of Actuarial Excellence (CAE) from the Society of Actuaries (SOA), recognizing the program’s outstanding curriculum, faculty expertise, research productivity, and student outcomes.

This designation places Purdue among a select group of universities worldwide acknowledged for their leadership in actuarial education and research. With more than 300 students enrolled, Purdue’s program blends rigorous academics with practical experience to prepare graduates for the evolving demands of the actuarial and risk management professions.

Purdue’s Actuarial Science Program also participates in the SOA University Earned Credit (UEC) program, allowing students to earn credit toward SOA exams through their Purdue coursework—a benefit that streamlines the path to professional certification.

In addition to its CAE status, Purdue was recently ranked #1 in the nation by CollegeChoice.net, further affirming its position as a national leader in actuarial education.

“Earning CAE recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and professional preparation,” said Dr. Jianxi Su, director of the program. “We take pride in developing graduates who are both technically proficient and ready to lead in a rapidly changing industry.”

Actuarial Science is offered by Purdue at both the West Lafayette and Indianapolis locations. Explore the newly launched website to learn more: www.science.purdue.edu/actuarial-science
