Tony G. Allen - Pottery Gallery

In the summer of 2019, I began taking pottery classes. Initially, I was looking for something peaceful to practice, something cathartic to do with my hands, something fulfilling and with artistic expersion. But as I learned more and honed my skills, I have become obsessed with the technical side: the physics and chemistry of the clay and glaze and how they interact with each other. Most recently, I have been developing glaze recipes -- a local professional potter has used my glazes on hundreds, maybe thousands of her pots shipped around the world.
