Accommodations for Students with Disabilities (Fall and Spring Semesters)

If you have been certified or are awaiting certification by the Disability Resource Center (DRC) as eligible for academic adjustments on exams or quizzes, please review the procedures below regarding exams and quizzes for your mathematics course.

For all in-class accommodations please see your instructors outside class hours – before or after class or during office hours – to discuss your accommodations for the current semester as soon as possible.

Exam Accommodations

For students taking MA 13700, MA 13800, MA 13900, MA 16020, MA 16100, MA 16200, MA 26100, MA 26200, MA26500 and MA26600.

Midterm exams will be proctored by the DRC Testing Center

  • Request your exam online at DRC Testing web a minimum of 5 business days in advance.  This will start the registration process with the DRC Testing Center.
  • Remember to schedule your exam for the day after the actual exam.
  • Your instructor must approve your request through the system before the DRC Testing Center can administer the exam.

For students taking MA 15800, MA 16010 and MA 16600

Midterm exams will be administered online without a proctor, therefore, no registration will be required.

For students in all other Department of Mathematics courses

  • Talk with your instructor as soon as possible about your accommodation needs, including the fact that you will be taking your exams at the DRC Testing Center.
  • Request your exam online at DRC Testing web a minimum of 5 business days in advance.  This will start the registration process with the DRC Testing Center.

Quiz Accommodations

  • Students who want to take in-class quizzes with their accommodations can fill out a Quiz Form. If your class has co-operative quizzes then there may be slightly different procedures than outlined on the form.  See your Recitation Instructor or Lecturer for details.
