Donatella Danielli and Aaron Yip inducted into Book of Great Teachers.
11-29-2018
The Book of Great Teachers, a permanent wall display in the west foyer of the Purdue Memorial Union, bears the names of past and present faculty members who have devoted their lives to excellence in teaching and scholarship. Honorees are nominated every five years by their students and their peers as Purdue's finest educators. The book that currently holds the names of 384 distinguished faculty, with 45 names to be added this year, is an extension of Academy Park and was first unveiled in April 1999.
The Book of Great Teachers inductees for 2018 include Donatella Danielli, Professor of Mathematics, with previous honors including selection as a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society (2017) and a Simons Fellowship in Mathematics (2014), and Aaron Yip, Professor of Mathematics, with previous awards including the Ruth and Joel Spiral Teaching Award (2005) and a Teaching for Tomorrow Award (2003).
Congratulations to Donatella and Aaron.
