Each year University Residences hosts the Favorite Faculty Reception to honor faculty and faculty fellows who have been nominated by students who live with us.
Also included within the ceremony are:

- A Featured Keynote Address from Provost, Jay Akridge
- The Presentation of Awards by our Student Committee, Brian Tedeschi, Dakota Robinson, and Sarah Spears. This includes the naming and honoring of Dr. Gerald Krockover Outstanding Favorite Faculty Award as well as the presentation of it.
