Math Circle

The Purdue University Math Circle is an outreach program run through the Department of Mathematics which aims to introduce high school students in Indiana to types of mathematics that are not regularly included in the K-12 curriculum. Our goal is to help participants explore fun aspects of mathematics in a collaborative and positive environment. Each of our meetings are facilitated by faculty and graduate students from the Department of Mathematics, or from other, related, fields.

We are working toward running a multi-track program, with both in-person and online meetings. In-person math circles will take place regularly on the Purdue University campus, with possible irregular visits to Indiana high schools. The Zoom program is open to high school students at any high school in Indiana.

Interested students should submit an application/questionnaire form to help us gauge interest and schedule meetings.
